Gwen Stacy is known as Spider gwen mask, or simply Gwen, in the Marvel Multiverse. She is a character from a different reality who uses her quick-wits and scientific knowledge to assist Spider-Man in battle. She lives on Earth 65 and was bitten by the radioactive spider instead of Peter Parker, which gave her spider powers in this alternate reality.
She first appeared in the 2017 animated series Marvel Rising: Initiation and was later featured in the specials Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts and Marvel Rising: Heart of Iron. She defends New York City alongside her friends Peter (Spider-Man) and Miles Morales (Spinner) as the masked superhero Ghost-Spider. She has a partial dyed pink head of hair, like her comics counterpart, and she loves drumming and detective novels.
Gwen’s father, George, initially disapproves of her superhero career. However, he eventually accepts it after he sees her save his daughter, Rio, from a villain called Wolf Spider. Gwen and her family confront Wolf Spider in his underwater lair, where he attempts to drain the life-forces of every spider-based character in the Multiverse. This causes Gwen to lose her powers, but she tricks him into claiming hers and the other two Spider-People before he is shattered by her.
The Gwen costume from Across the Spider-Verse features a black bodysuit with white areas that form a spider design, a white hood that has magenta and cyan web patterns on the inside, matching magenta-and-cyan designs on her upper arms, and cyan soles on her boots. It also includes a detachable black mask and matching gloves. The mask is made of polypropylene plastic and has an elastic band around the ears.
