YouTube Partner Package – Application Process and Opportunity

The YouTube partner package application process provides videographers a wonderful opportunity to upload and monetize their video by allowing YouTube to place advertisements next to their content.

To cash in on your creativity, YouTube asks you in the initial application process to answer a few questions.

Basically YouTube partners are independent video creators and media companies who are looking for online distribution and who meet YouTube’s qualifications. Becoming a partner gives you the ability to share in ad revenue from your YouTube videos.

YouTube maintains a positive user experience with automatically targeted, creative ad formats that generate revenue when your videos are viewed. All you need to do is create compelling video content, which can lead to mutual effective revenue sharing for both you and YouTube.

The beautiful thing about YouTube is your content will be delivered to the largest worldwide online video community via YouTube and their syndication partners.

YouTube is non-restrice and a non-exclusive agreement meaning they don’t restrict where you can upload and distribute your videos.

To become a partner, you need to meet these criteria:
1. You create original videos suitable for online streaming.
2. You own the copyrights and distribution rights for all audio and video content that you upload — no exceptions.
3. You regularly upload videos that are viewed by thousands of YouTube users.

Below is an example of what I wrote when I applied for the YouTube Partner Package:

“As a world traveler, international motivational speaker, and author who owns 4 video cameras I love to shoot video. My biggest struggle has been editing the video.

For example I have 18 DVDs from my last trip throughout Indonesia (the world’s 4th largest country). Thus far I have traveled to more than 50 countries, over 50 islands, and 6 continents.

I was just given a laptop computer by my father-in-law who lives in Santa Clara, CA and works in the tech industry. I also finally bought video editing software, which my video editor is going to teach me how to use.

Now I can upload new video every week!

By the end of today, I hope to have uploaded enough video to put me in the more than over 100 videos category on YouTube.

I would like to know more about “syndication” (as I always click “no” because I want to monetize my content and not give it away for free). Can you please tell me more?

Also, unlike most videographers, I also know how to write – having written 14 books. I’m also skilled at press releases, articles, and blogging …which drives thousands of viewers to my websites each month.

As a masterful promoter, I feel YouTube and me would be a match made in heaven.”

If you feel you have what it takes to work with YouTube, apply online at their site! You’ve got nothing to lose and much to gain from partnering with such a powerhouse as YouTube. youtube live stream
